who are de Bruin-Judge?
de Bruin-Judge Furniture Ltd is a company well-known for its premium-quality, bespoke kitchens, furniture and fit-outs. de Bruin-Judge is a niche manufacturer specialising in the high-end residential and commercial market.
Prior to starting de Bruin-Judge Wim de Bruin had already received significant recognition for his furniture-making ability. Wim excelled in trade school, topping all his cabinetmaking apprenticeship classes and went on to represent New Zealand at the Youth Skill Olympics in 1988. That same year his talent received further recognition when he gained an AGC Young Achievers Award and scholarship to study furniture history and construction at the London College of Furniture. After returning to New Zealand he worked for 3 years making commissioned pieces and saving funds to establish his own company. de Bruin-Judge Furniture was founded by Wim de Bruin and Robyn de Bruin-Judge and began trading in 1994.
de Bruin-Judge Furniture employs 32 skilled people and is 100% New Zealand owned.
The company has been a key player in numerous award-winning projects and has won awards for its expertise in business management. All de Bruin-Judge product is manufactured in New Zealand in DBJ’s own environmentally certified factory which is located approximately 6 minutes from the CBD in the Wairau Valley on Auckland’s North Shore (see map in Contact). DBJ operates a significant cabinetmaking operation, a full in-house polishing facility as well as a team of dedicated DBJ installers. This in-house capacity provides DBJ with significant control over priorities and allows for a consistent quality level to be maintained.

de Bruin-Judge Furniture undertakes projects throughout New Zealand and the Pacific for local and off- shore design professionals, de Bruin-Judge is open to discussing projects based in other overseas localities.
